BLACK LAGOON CHP 39 SUMMARY
SPOILER ALERT!!
Maybe Omni’s “retirement” (actually he’s back to blogging already -_-;) had something to do with my decision to blog Episode 46 of Blood+, but I’d like to think it’s because of some “shocking” (or not, depends on how you look at it) information released in this ep. This isn’t going to be a continual thing for sure; I’m probably only doing this episode unless future eps promise enough goodies to make me do it again.

SPOILER ALERT!!
I was going to write up the chapter 39 summary for Black Lagoon today, but no, that opportunity was taken away by Pluto’s demotion.
Yesterday, author of the popular anime blog Random Curiosity, Omniscient (or just “Omni), declared that he will be taking a break from the realm of anime-blogging for a while. Comments on his “resignation post” totaled a stunning sum of 285 and counting. Omni has written 1056 posts, and his blog receives, on average, 18,800 visits/51,000 page views per day.
For me, this was somewhat nostalgic to say at the least. I read anime blogs on a regular basis, and Random Curiosity was among the top of my list. Omni’s decision to go on a bit of a vacation isn’t uncommon in the anime-blogging community. The infamous Alpha623 quit “professional” blogging soon after the conclusion of Gundam Seed Destiny, and Moyism of Life line by line followed suit after a short while. Many anime-bloggers expressed that the activity of anime-blogging is arduous and extremely time consuming. Being someone who writes a lot of crap regularly, I can fully relate to their feelings. I admit to have toyed around with the idea of anime-blogging for a while. In the end I decided to settle for more manga oriented activities since it’s far less exhausting.
Regardless, however, it is still disappointing to see Omni go. He’s been both persistent and consistent with his coverage of selected anime series. But I whole-heartedly support his decision to take a breather. Omni says he’ll be coming back to anime-blogging after a sufficient break, but as for how long this break may take, it’s still hanging in limbo. I’m certainly not about to bid Omni good-bye because, I believe he’ll be back for sure. The desire to write isn’t exactly something one can control willingly. I’m looking forward to the day when Omni makes his return.
I went for my road test today and passed, which mean I have officially entered the realm of Noob-dom. The test itself was actually pretty easy. I originally thought it was going to be one whole hour, but turns out it only took about 20 minutes. The test route was very linear; I’ve driven on those roads countless times during practice sessions and whatnot.
